Salma Awad — UI/UX Designer & Web Developer
I combine user-centered design, frontend thinking, and a Computer Science background to create products that feel intuitive, expressive, and buildable.
Selected work
Each of these started with something that did not work — a queue nobody could see, a memory with nowhere to live, a workspace that felt wrong for the work.
About
I’m a UI/UX designer and web developer studying Computer Science at the Lebanese University. My experience ranges from adaptive enterprise interfaces to responsive documentation platforms and concept-driven mobile products.
Knowing how something gets built changes what I design. It means the interfaces I hand over are ones a developer can actually implement — and that I can have that conversation properly when the constraints turn out to be real.
More about meCapabilities
Six areas of practice, from framing a problem through to the front-end code that ships it.
Framing the real problem before the first screen: context, constraints, and who is actually struggling.
Structuring journeys and content so people always know where they are and what happens next.
High-fidelity screens with considered states, hierarchy, and behaviour — not just static layouts.
Interactive Figma prototypes and reusable component libraries built with Auto Layout and responsive rules.
Building the result in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so the design survives contact with a real browser.
Translating between technical teams and end users, and handing designs over in terms developers can build from.
Experience
Enterprise UX on one side, shipped frontend work on the other.

Web Developer
Building and maintaining the company’s technical documentation platform, and the responsive pages around it.

UI/UX Designer
Designed adaptive interfaces for a semantic, model-driven platform, where the same screen has to serve a first-time modeler and a domain expert.
